On the one hand it’s a very simple concept and a silly bit of fun.
On the other hand it’s an immersive experience for the visitor, as well as a platform for animators to showcase work that would otherwise go unseen by the general public.

About the Event
Krankenhaus Festival will take place at Muncaster Castle, a striking and ancient outpost near Ravenglass by the West Cumrian coast, amid the gorgeous Western Lake District.
SP will be playing at least twice at Krankenhaus Festival, alongside a range of other attractions, including a full bill of supporting artists.
The castle, along with its grounds and gardens, will be open during the day, with birds of prey giving flying displays at the castle’s Hawk & Owl Centre – all of which is included in the festival ticket price.
The festival’s musical performances will take place in a large rustic barn within the castle grounds. These musical sets will take place from early or mid afternoon each day. Pets are welcome.
Muncaster Castle is sat overlooking the River Esk, in an area with easy access to both the coast and the majestic lakes and fells of the Western Lake District.
Ravenglass was described by John Ruskin as “The gateway to paradise.” The castle is set a short drive from Lakeland peaks such as Scafell Pike. The Ravenglass & Eskdale steam railway and the Cumbria Wildlife Trust’s Eskmeals Dunes reserve are a short distance away. The nearest mainline rail station is in Ravenglass.
