One Bum Cinema Club is suitable for all ages. By specialising in short animated films, we’re able to showcase a wide range of styles, stories and voices, so there’s always something for everyone. We champion both emerging and established animators by creating a platform where their work can be discovered by new audiences.
The cinema works brilliantly at festivals, galleries, libraries, museums, community events and family friendly spaces. Anywhere people are curious enough to step inside.

One Bum Cinema Club is an easy way to bring a unique, joyful and memorable experience to your event. It creates moments of curiosity and surprise, and gives audiences the chance to discover independent animation they may never have seen before.
The cinema is small, flexible and simple to host, which makes it perfect for busy festival environments, quiet gallery spaces, community days or family focused events. It works for all ages, encourages repeat visits and adds a playful focal point that people talk about long after they leave.

How it works
Our flexible structure fits comfortably into most indoor and outdoor spaces. We can build on site within two hours and take down within one, which makes it ideal for pop ups, festivals, galleries, shops and almost any public setting.
The cinema requires only a small footprint and fits through standard doorways. All we need is a single plug socket, or none if you prefer a battery powered setup. If outdoors, we simply need a level surface and ideally a bit of shelter in case of rain.

Programming
Every screening is different.
Each outing features a fresh selection of short animations under three minutes, curated from independent artists, studios and festival submissions. When a visitor presses the little red button, a new show reel plays, so audiences always see something different.
We can tailor the programme to suit your event, whether you need family friendly content, adult focused selections, themed screenings or festival specific submissions.
Audience flow
Screenings last only a few minutes, allowing a steady flow of visitors throughout the day. The cinema works beautifully as a drop in experience, creating moments of curiosity, joy and discovery for audiences aged one to 101.
